Do NOT use for dam discharge, rainfall, or flood forecasts; only water-level station observations are available. Supports ten_minutes (default), one_hour, or one_day measurement intervals. Multiple name matches are ranked in this fixed order: exact name > partial name > address > forecast station > shorter normalized name > numerically smaller station code. Returns the selected station with public station metadata, the latest observation, flood thresholds, and up to 8 highest-ranked alternatives. |
